i passed on the first attempt on monday! i literally have never looked at a bds module in my life ( i went to ball as well) i did snabas one moth cram for the material and ub beat the beast mocks 1 and 3 and bad mocks 1-3 i studied for 6 weeks and took a month at the end of every week after my first week even while i was still doing the 1 month collective. vizi is not a good rep for the exam imo and i hate that that’s our first exposure to mocks but dm me for links and info!! you got this!! 🫶🏾

omg girl i just passed on my first try a month ago and yes the process is NO JOKE 😭 i started with 1 month snaba collective which helped me write the BEST notes. i’m a visual learner so all their cute notes sheets was perfect for my brain. i also started taking quizzes from studyaba right away on each section as i reviewed them. i then made my own cheat sheets that were color coded on all the main topics and put them on my wall cause again my brain is visual so i needed that. i watched all the behavior analysts videos on youtube along with jessica’s full mock annnd understanding behavior videos. i joined their lives 3x a week for a month which helped a LOT also their mock exams are the best! (take beat the beast 1 and 2). i took soooo many diff mocks exams tho probably 10 or 11 total which helped so much with time management and exposure to diff questions. i studied flash cards i read cooper (only for things i didn’t understand) i used the ABA wizard app before bed for quizzes and then at the end i went through the entire task list and explained every single thing out loud to find any additional weaknesses. its hard but its doable i promise!!!

mock exam after mock exam after mock exam. review questions and concepts you get wrong and WHY you got them wrong. ABA exam prep on youtube also does a great job breaking down concepts and with mocks and explaining how to break down the questions. This exam is NOT just about memorizing concepts, it's about applying them to real world scenarios. if you get caught up in memorization, you will struggle with the actual exam. learning how the test thinks and breaking down the questions to figure out what is really being asked is your most important step! Keep going... you got this!

Bds modules are the golden key! If you complete them as instructed it’s GOATED and you are at the right company!! It trains your brain to answer quick with fluency

I haven't tested yet, but something that is helping me is writing out key concepts on my white board, videos from BAS, then reading the Pass big ABA book and taking the BDS modules right after. I put my incorrect questions (with my rationale as to why I selected that answer) into Gemini to fully explain why it was incorrect and that's helped me A TON! 10/10 recommend

ABA Exam Review and taking notes was my go to. After the full task list section I would watch their mock exam videos on that particular section (A,B,etc) and take notes, review why i got it wrong. Also, Jessica Leichtweisz full 6 hr mock made it click. Go back & watch all Understanding Behavior lives on youtube (they’re previously recorded & saved on his channel). Subscribe to his email list for updates on streamed lives & zooms for the week (free)- they go over different parts of task list & how to apply it. Take mock exams & in put each score report into chat gbt one at a time to know what your strengths & weaknesses are. Study weaknesses (go hard), take another mock & do the same thing and so on lol. You got this!

I passed on my first try last week. All I used was the understanding behavior comprehensive package. There is something so beneficial about someone explaining things to you through videos rather than reading something yourself, trying to interpret it, and taking notes. Would highly recommend his videos and his mock exams!

Even if you don’t pass the first time which can be an outcome you should prepare for, it does not define your value as a clinician 🥰. Enjoy the process and trust god with your timing

Passed my first time and I also had a lot of study material that felt so overwhelming, but the BDS (witting the hints down), using the pass the big A and study notes ABA helped me! I literally lived and breathed ABA so if I wasn’t studying I was listening to ABA exam review videos that goes over each section on task list with questions, I would watch tik toks and talk about it to my boyfriend. When you study it also helped me so much to listen to a music playlist on REPEAT while studying. It helped me memorize so much! YOU GOT THIS!

Take understanding behavior mocks and do their error analysis. It’s all about knowing where you have to study. I also am a mother and work full time, I took 3 weeks to study, and passed on my first attempt 2 weeks ago! The test is broken down with some sections bigger than others. Stop focusing on the small sections and put way more effort into the big ones. Also my entire exam felt as if it were all supervision questions so just and FYI.

I’m sitting in late October & also went to ball state!!!! They did not prepare me at all and I have totally been reteaching myself most things. I found a study group on tiktok that has helped so much! I have been using ABA exam review on your tube and took a mock from understanding behavior as a baseline. I also got the understanding behavior mini mocks because their questions are most like the test. I have been loving behavior analyst prep website!
