172cm is above average! I have the same problem being around the same height. Always have to get the tall version. Normal flares are not made for us lol

im only down because my current flares drag on the ground but they are sooooo comfy i want to wear them daily.. but they get all wet and gross in winter. so now they are my cold, comfy, but not wet day, pants 😂

the point of a flare pant is not to cover the heel. that's the point for you but it's not why they exist. also, people do live in rainy climates. when it covers the heel the water travels up the back of the pant.
