Fear of the connections to certain organizations is valid, I think, but fearing you and backing away? They actively knew what they were getting into by choosing to message you. It’s not fair to suddenly back away when you didn’t hide any of that…unless they were disingenuous and were thinking it was “made up”, so once they realized it wasn’t, they got terrified and ran. I’m sorry you’ve struggled so much but you deserve close and trusting friendships just like anyone else 💜
