I went out with a guy that didn’t mention he had a prosthetic leg. Literally went out a few times and I had no idea! Imagine my surprise when adult time came and he took his pants off, and his leg. He got mad at me bc I wanted to leave. It wasn’t that he was an amputee! It was the fact that he had a month of everyday communication about everything under the sun and he never even mentioned it. 😢

My late husband was a chair user. It definitely had difficult moments, but we learned together, adapted when we needed to, had fun inventing new ways to do things, and just got on with life. I'd do it again 🤷🏼♀️
