i’m white and i sit in a chair for 9-10 hours to get my hair fully foiled, shadow rooted toned twice, cut, and blown out, with many washes mixed in there. You are not obligated to teach anyone. The internet exists and they can go do their own research. If they just spent the same time googling or typing into youtube what they wrote in the comment, they’d have the knowledge by now…but people are lazy and racist.

Like yeah, our hair texture is probably the most unique but whatever “genuine curiosity” they have can be solved by looking it up. It’d take like 2 mins to learn about our hairstyles on YouTube or here on TikTok if they really wanted to🙃
