this is sadly accurate, as the manager who was trying to hire. I was thrown into management during a merger and was doing 100% of my previous duties plus now management. I voiced my struggle and they said "well then let's hire more people!" ok great. Let me find time during my now 60 hour work week to review resumes and interview candidates. Can I update the job description to tailor it to what I need and can we put the salary in the listing to weed out people looking for more? No? Perfect. Love that for me. It took 4 months to find the 2 people I hired and a lot slipped through the cracks during that time 🥲.
