If police officers get access to flock cams so should the public who pay for their salaries and the technology that allows them to access the cameras. Just a thought

This actually reinforces a theory I have that seems consistent with a lot of companies in Peter Thiels founders fund: flock's exit strategy is to sell to Axon or Moto, but they're too big/overvalued. so they're doing bad PR and high pricing on purpose because they want to extract money quickly while they deflate

While I still stand firm that these cameras need to be taken down permanently, I think it is also important to implement more measures to protect ourselves. If they are trying to make databases of each individual’s habits and schedules, it is important for us to become more unpredictable. Take routes you don’t normally take. Don’t visit the same places day after day. Make more stops at places than you usually do. If we don’t have a routine for them to take, the data they keep becomes more unreliable. They can’t claim suspicious and abnormal behavior if there is no set normal for them to compare to

Axon also owns a service called “retail crime hub” that let’s retailers feed information about anyone who enters their stores under a thin veneer of “loss prevention” into an ai and then that ai builds profile to give to cops
