I went to Singapore for 3 years straight (every August for my late mom). it's humid, yes, super 😭 (as a fellow SEAbling im shocked by how humid it is). flights and accommodation expensive especially if there are major concerts/events happening. food is also expensive unless u know ur way around.

As a Singaporean i do agree with this video a lot! I’d say if you really want to dive deep into the local culture visiting the heartlands is something to consider, but otherwise as you said most of the main tourist stuff can be done in 3 days max and the neighboring countries are a lot more fun in terms of actually doing fun things like theme parks. We still have our charm though, and i hope anyone visiting us next year have a good time regardless 🙂

You can get nonstop flights to Singapore from a lot of places (including LA) but it's mostly Singapore airlines which while VERY nice is VERY expensive.

as a Singaporean myself, while I agree a lot of the tourist attractions r expensive n in some ways not much, the heartlands is another place many tourists don't consider. some of our housing have unique designs that can't b found elsewhere. but yes, the weather is terrible (not too bad if someone is physically active)

thank you for this because it makes me feel so much less FOMO!! this year was my first Worlds and immediately this weekend I knew I was going to try to make it every year in the future but whether Singapore or anywhere else abroad there’s just no way I could afford an international trip. we were so lucky to have it in California twice in a row!!
