They’re not babies. Forced Birthers love to use emotional trigger words like “baby” to attempt to sway people to their authoritarian view. The correct medical term for life in utero is in fact “fetus.” You will never find a chart note, a radiology report, or any medical professional use “baby” unless they are dumbing it down for a lay person. So why do people who want to convince you to let Big Government control a woman’s health by forcing her to give birth to a child she does not want and to suffer the short and long term health risks (preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, type 2 diabetes, pelvic floor issues, not to mention the effect on her mental health) just to satisfy their moral view of the world. They use the word “baby” and not fetus because your mind inaccurately jumps to the conclusion that a fetus looks and acts like a newborn infant. It doesn’t.
