As a kid, I really began questioning how it was okay for someone to tell someone else what to believe and how to live their life. I would get in trouble for saying things like “Our understanding of god is supposed to come from inside of us - not from other people. That’s a path for ourselves.”

You’ll notice when you can discern fear from love in all its forms. Disconnection, othering, hierarchy, deservingness, any ism and obviously phobias, all forms of fear. Love is acceptance and gratitude and learning and openness, it’s anything to draw someone in. It’s never going to make you feel above, love will only grant you surety and clarity. Humility to see your faults to better them, and to see your strengths to use them. ✨
