In September 2025 the city of Lakewood started a 6 month trial with Flock cameras. In March of 2026 the counsel, after much feedback from residents, voted 3-2 against continuing the Flock contract. So why do we still have Flock cameras in Lakewood?

I've been noticing a pattern as well and most of these flock cameras are in areas where there's a large immigrant community and they're in the areas that these people frequent. like the one you showed for East Lakewood that high school is predominantly minority school and has been historically since the 1970s and even though it's in Lakewood, the majority of the population comes from Hawaiian Gardens. which is definitely a blue collar lower class working neighborhood

So the one that popped up next to the school was my old high school last year and I think it a great idea because those apartments have a lot of shooting right there I say this is because I lived there for a year and a half I will say that area is known for shootings so I it’s a good area
