Incisitermes supellex sp. nov. is a novel species of common wood termite, native to the Complex. The termite takes the size, form, and internal shape of a common article of (wooden) furniture, utilizing the surrounding wooden structure as an exoskeleton. It does not appear that the termite ever "burrows" into the structure the way a standard termite would. Rather, the organism is generated by the Complex, already within its shell. Current hypothesis posits that these instances arise from lossy replication of termite-infested furniture structures in Standard. A colony of organic termites is approximated as one, large, singular termite. SEE: (Document #087A - "Still Life Hypothesis"] Legs of the article of furniture become inhabited by the legs of the termite. A gap in the exoskeleton allows for crab-like motility; variation in width of which results in proportional variation in speed of the organism. So far, secondary/distal joints have yet to be observed. Organism demonstrates animalistic behavior; species has been observed utilizing sensory setae to navigate and familiarize itself with various "routes" within the Complex, after which it will engage in bouts of frenetic random activity periods. Some instances have demonstrated semblances of intelligent thought, problem solving, and logic in order to overcome obstacles. Though it's movements are crab-like, it shows many behavioral similarities with the common house dog. It is currently unknown how the species metabolizes or reproduces, if at all. NOTE: Species appears capable of malicious intent; be wary of all furniture, any article could potentially be an instance of I. supellex. Ambush predation has been observed. The most malicious of instances have been noted to target the pedal digits, resulting in phalangeal fracture. #async #kanepixelsbackrooms #backrooms #fyp
