Anyone reading this with hEDS, MCAS, POTS DO NOT get a lumbar puncture to investigate your neurological symptoms. I did this and it left me bedbound for 6 months. Our tissues don't heal the way they should and it can cause a spinal CSF leak where your brain fluid leaks out your spine and you can no longer sit or stand up as gravity pushes the fluid out, and then trust me you'll wish you 'only' had the previous issues. The same goes for epidurals. If you absolutely do need to get a lumbar puncture or epidural, be sure to take pictures of exactly where the needle goes in AND more importantly, INSIST the doctor to use a pencil point needle NOT a cutting needle. Hoping at least one person sees this and it deters them from experiencing the hell I've gone through this year. 🤍

I said to my friend last week: I just kinda want to wear a neck brace for a day so I don’t have to hold my own head up 😂 (I’ve also never worn a neck brace so I’m just assuming it’d hold my head up for me 🤷🏻♀️)

I can’t relax my traps, my jaw or my tongue 😫 it’s a constant battle to remind myself to just relax a little. Tried Botox for migraine and it treated traps, jaw and back of neck/base of skull and it helped So Much!!!! If I could just relax my tongue!

I let out a little gasp when you said take my head off and rest it on a table. I’ve said it before. I also say it feels like it’s being held up by a toothpick.
