@fitwithmadz: There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be “toned”, I just wanna help you understand that being toned means having muscle. If you don’t build muscle when you lose weight, you will not have that “toned” look.
Why is that so hard for people to understand. Not to bash on any generation but “toned” is what ladies my age and older were afraid of being muscular so maybe that’s where that comes from?

Alright because I have a genuine question. I lost 40lbs without changing much. I gained it all back and now I’m trying to lose it again. I’ve been weight lifting 40-50 minutes 3 times a week followed by 20-30 minutes of cardio 3x a week and I’m eating around 1950. Sometimes on weekends I overeat but it’s a rare occasion. August 25th I weighed 279.6 (I lost weight) then on August 29th I weighed 282.6. I think maybe it’s because I went from 5lb dumbbells to 15lb dumbbells so I’m holding more water but I can’t help but feeling discouraged
