Details of the tour below 👇🏻 With rain in the forecast today.. like all day long… we decided to do a hop on hop off bus tour. However, the typical tourist one costs 4,800 yen or $32 USD .. so we opted for the local route instead, costing 300 yen or $2 USD! 🥳 The Megurin Line is a mix of cute “historic” buses that run 5 different loop routes in the NW region of Tokyo. 💴 It costs 100 yen per individual ride, or 300 yen per day. You can use your Suica Card (the Japan transportation card downloaded to your phone wallet) to purchase a single ride pass, but need to pay in cash for the full day pass. Top Tip .. take a photo of the bus stop sign and show your driver, pointing to the 300 yen pass.. trust us, it’s easier that way! Stops we enjoyed ⤵️ 📍 Ueno Onshi Park 📍 Kaneiji Temple 📍 Asakusa City 📍 Matsuchiyama Shoden Temple 📍 Taito City Office (cross the big major street and head to Mi no Bou for lunch.. cash only and VERY local!) There are maps onboard in 4 different languages, and a fantastic number system and to scale drawing of the different stops on all the routes! 📝 Day 3/15 days in Japan in the books! 📊 Stats in USD 🛏️ $0 for accommodation (overnight bus instead) 🍱 $48 on food 🚊 $30 on transportation Hi there!
