Bounce the words when they don't rhyme as well. It really helps young kids hear that the middle/end of the words are different and don't rhyme!

Instead of thumbs up thumbs down, do happy face if it rhymes and a silent sad face if it doesn’t. My kids love that!

I saw somebody doing that as well and that's how I introduced rhyming words to my Pre-K kiddos just this past week and it seemed to really help them grasp it better

I just have them eliminate the first sound. I say c at cat take off the c .... and then I do that for rat. And I say did my left hand both end with the same sounds and if they say yes then I say that's how we know it rhymes
