I am a high school teacher. We have so many responsibilities and I’m not complaining but give us some grace. Have 150 plus students and 4 of the same classes. I try my best to grade as soon as possible and feel guilty when I don’t. But I would rather be coming into class happy because I’m not overworking myself by pushing myself to get things graded. Also I have very different late policy’s than that. But still your teachers not grading in time shouldn’t be the equivalent of you cheating. People cheat because they don’t understand the importance of learning or the education and just want to “get it done”.

i’m speaking as a teachers kid so please do not roast me, but teachers also have a lot more work than us and their due date are only at the end of the quarter which yeah I don’t understand as to why, but when they turn it in earlier, it seems as weird to the parents because let’s say you get one bad grade and they turn in right after you get your assignment your overall grade will automatically be bad. That’s why they put it in altogether. I’m sorry if this didn’t make sense.

I mean to be fair we have one assignment and they have like 300 to grade bc they also have other classes with assignments that have been submitted on top of office hours and teaching classes

The best policy I’ve had with a teacher, was my junior year of high school and his policy was as long as you turned in before he created it you did not get points taken off. Because if he’s not even gonna grade it for two weeks, why should we have to turn it in?
