A man has alleged that he was chased and “brake-checked” by an SUV driver in Subang Jaya after he honked at the motorist following a near-crash yesterday morning (2 Sept). The dashcam footage, shared online, showed the driver moving into another lane, away from the black SUV, after the SUV driver allegedly almost crashed into his vehicle. “I actually honked at the (SUV) driver at the roundabout. I was about to take my exit when he suddenly came out in front of me, and it was quite a close call,” the driver claimed, clarifying that the incident took place before the footage shown in the dashcam video. The SUV then began catching up with the driver after he had moved away. As shown in the dashcam footage, the SUV driver allegedly began honking and chasing him, getting close to his vehicle. “I tried to get away and create some distance, but this uncle was much faster than my car. He kept following me and eventually tried to pin me towards the roadside,” the driver further alleged. Faced with what he considered an unsafe situation, the driver decided it was best not to confront the SUV driver, as he did not know how the situation might escalate. The driver claimed that police considered the SUV driver to be a road bully, although he was unsure whether any action had been taken at the time of writing.
