wrong, chimps skeletal structure is 1.5x stronger then that of a human, humans can’t fire the needed muscle fibers at once to combat, an adult chimps bite force is 400-500 psi which is double that of a humans, chimps have much more control over all four limbs, also chimps have more unhinged biting, scratching and flexible fighting techniques should it come down to a fight to the death

An untrained adult chimpanzee could bench 200-250 without even being able to hold the bar correctly. Deadlift near 500 pounds. Also, a chimpanzee will not mentally give up it will only give up when his body stops working physically. And medium-heavy MMA fighter would be a decently close fight even then a chimpanzee would be projected to win. Anyone saying a human is “heavier” that doesn’t matter chimpanzees are a lot stronger pound for pound, and just stronger on average .

The chimp is half your size, double your strength, and much faster and agile than you in close quarters. I’m all for human pride, but there’s ONE thing we ABSOLUTELY have over every animal and that’s our brains… we aren’t expert fighters. Somehow, the internet managed to sway half of America into believing chimps are superhuman monsters, while they rank below us in almost every measure aside from bite force, including physical strength. While being 1.5x stronger than the average person sounds like a huge gap, the average person doesn't regularly exercise, being able to bench 200 pounds makes you 1.5x stronger than the general public. Another thing thats often brought up is the "they'll rip your arms off" argument, when that has just... never happened, ever. The closest thing I could find is when a chimp in captivity reached through the bars in a zoo and bit a toddlers arm off at the elbow, which didn't actually involve any pulling. Matter of fact, there has never been a confirmed case of a chimp killing a grown man in human history. As a primate, they're generally smart and VERY opportunistic, they generally won't try you if you're bigger than them. Basically Chimps are the IDF of the primate world, they won't engage something with a threat level higher than a distracted old woman or small child
