Emma :
hi i write poems but idk if their good so is this good? People prepare you for falling in love.
They teach you what to say,
they warn you it might be rough,
and tell you that you should stay—
even when you feel you aren't enough.
But what I wish I was prepared for
was falling out of love.
I wish I was taught to forget the memories,
instead of finding you in everything.
How to go without texting.
How to stop staring at you like a view.
And most importantly:
how to live without you.
There is not a single day
where I don't think or say
something about you.
I swear it's true.
I know it seems obsessive,
but this love is possessive.
Eight months spent side by side,
but you aren't even trying to hide
how easily you walked away.
I even asked you once,
"How are you so okay?"
But you avoided it. Like, how?
Every night I cry and cry,
wishing I could be with you again,
just asking myself why.
Why can’t you love me like you did back then?
Even though I want you, you don't want me.
I get that.
But I wish you could get me,
and maybe see
how life could be
if you were me.
Life?
That’s funny.
As if I could have one where you don't exist,
where I can't call you mine,
where maybe I'm fine.
If you can't love me again, then...
I would do anything for someone to teach me
how to live without you once again.
