Why only use a belt tourniquet in a no other solution .. is it because it’s worse than a like rope/ strip of fabric or because using a tourniquet is a only if there is no other solution?

Tourniquets in the wild are DEFINITELY for worst case scenarios. You can inadvertently shut off the blood supply to the limb to the point that tissues die and you end up needing an amputation. Think carefully.
