@heather_harrigan: 🚨 HEATHERLY NEEDS IMMEDIATE RESCUE HELP. 🚨 Little Heatherly has been at Newberry County Animal Shelter in South Carolina for about six weeks, and she is absolutely terrified. After her owner passed away, Heatherly and Harper were surrendered to the shelter. Heatherly had spent her life outside in a small pen with little socialization and very little love or human interaction. Staff were initially worried she was pregnant or suffering from advanced heartworm disease because of her swollen belly. Thankfully, she is not pregnant and heartworm negative. 🙏 Heatherly is not aggressive at all — she’s terrified of the scary shelter environment. But with patience, a volunteer was able to get her outside, and her whole demeanor changed. Her tail came untucked as she explored the play yard, and we got a glimpse of the sweet dog underneath all that fear. ❤️ She is dog-friendly and would thrive in a patient foster home, especially with another confident dog. ⏰ Her time is running out. All it takes is ONE person to say, “Yes, I’ll foster her.” That one yes will change her life forever. Please share Heatherly. Her foster is out there.
