i tried this. what I've learned recently is, if there is a "mortgage" lien on said property. you aquire that debt. spend the money and do a title/ lien search.

Most often the Judge or some other court official will get the property.

Yeah, unfortunately it’s not that easy by no means and there’s thousands of people there at the step of the courthouse trying to do the same exact thing when it comes to buying these properties that are behind and back taxes sometimes they’re so behind and back taxes the properties aren’t even worth what they owe in back taxes.

$500…Huh? Unpaid home taxes is public record which =FREE! Say you pay $10g in taxes! If some family member or whoever tries to purchase the property after you paid the taxes…they would have to pay back the person who paid the taxes WITH INTEREST by a certain amount of time…if they don’t the house belongs to the person who paid the taxes!

Usually they go to judicial sales, if nobody purchases it, it goes to a repo list. But they are not free

This isn’t as easy as the video implies. Typically there are many tax liens filled against these properties that need paid first.

And take over the payments (taxes,water bill, sewer etc) of the previous owner in which sometimes it’s way more than the value of the property! Not worth it!
