For any tattoo artists dealing with fake TikTok accounts impersonating you, this is the process I personally used to get mine taken down last year: 1. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING FIRST. Before reporting or blocking the fake account, screenshot their profile, username, bio, stolen content, messages they’ve sent pretending to be you, attempts to collect deposits, payment usernames, and anything else showing that they’re impersonating you. 2. FILL OUT TIKTOK’S REPORT/FEEDBACK FORM. I used TikTok’s official feedback form: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/report/feedback I reported that someone was impersonating me, using my content/name, and pretending to book tattoo appointments to scam people out of deposits. Make sure you provide your REAL TikTok account and the impersonating account so they can compare the two. Include as much evidence as the form allows. 3. VERIFY THAT YOU OWN THE REAL ACCOUNT. After I submitted the form, TikTok contacted me and had me verify my identity as the owner of my legitimate account. 4. FOLLOW UP THROUGH TIKTOK’S IDENTITY TEAM. The email address involved in my case was: identity-us@tiktokusds.com Once my identity and ownership of my legitimate account were verified, the impersonating account was taken down. IMPORTANT: I would still use the official TikTok form FIRST rather than randomly emailing the address. That way there is an actual report/case associated with the impersonation and TikTok can contact you for whatever verification they currently require. I also recommend keeping screenshots of EVERYTHING, including your report submissions and TikTok’s responses, until the fake account is completely gone. This is the process that worked for me personally. TikTok’s forms/processes can change, so I can’t guarantee everyone will have the exact same experience, but I wanted to share it because mass-reporting the fake account alone wasn’t what ultimately got mine removed. And while you’re waiting, WARN YOUR CLIENTS. Post the fake username, tell people not to send them money, and clearly state which accounts and payment methods actually belong to you. 💜 #tattooartist #knoxvilletattooartist #maryvilletattooartist #storytime #tattooshop
