To me, this really comes down to common sense. Immigration can be a positive thing when it is legal, organized, and managed in a way that our communities and economy can realistically support. The concern is what happens when immigration happens on such a large scale that it puts additional pressure on housing, schools, healthcare, public services, wages, and an already stretched economy. Working families are already dealing with higher grocery bills, rising housing costs, expensive childcare, and the everyday cost of living. It’s reasonable to ask how much additional pressure our communities can absorb before the people who are already here begin feeling the consequences. This isn’t about blaming individual immigrants or saying that people shouldn’t want a better life. Most people would want the same thing for their families. But a country has to have reasonable limits, enforce its laws, and make sure immigration policies take into account the capacity of its economy and communities
