This video kind of breaks my heart. I support the blue. I've had too many friends who are officers that I know are amazing people, not to. Having said that, the officer who attacked the family over trash?! Omg! Listening to that officer repeatedly focus on the fact that the family had a video. Not the horrible thing he had done, the video. That made me sick. So what would've happened had they not had that video?! Ethics shouldn't only come into play when there's video! I still support the blue. Yet, after watching these videos? I have something to say to the Captains of America's PDs. Healing the huge rift between the people vs. officers must begin with you policing your officers. If you know you have a tyrant on your force, why? If you know you have an officer with impulse control issues on your force, why? If you have officers that drink too much, have DV situations, narcissistic personalities on your force, why? And for the love of God, if you know you have racist, of any color, on your force, WHY? I know you're human, too. We're not perfect people. But we CAN NOT have people like that doing police work. The law will be used in unethical ways, n people WILL be hurt. Or worse. You must clean house. You just must. We need you. Without you, our country will fall into chaos. But to have officers that function more like the perps you chase than the protectors God intended you to be, we have tierney. Or worse. With each bad encounter we have, hundreds will grow to hold hate in their heart for you. The good cops? The ones who go home n cry for that little girl on his last call of the night? The one that's stuck between waring parents, drugs, n violence. You owe him the respect to clean out your force. He doesn't deserve that hate. That's my friend. The officer who was so worried about that child that he found treatment plans for the parents. Paid for the Aunts airfare, so she could care for the kids while the parents were in treatment. My beautiful friend who chose being a cop to help. He's counting on you, Cap. He's counting on you to get rid of the bad ones. You owe him that. Stop looking the other way. God bless the peacekeepers.
