it's not that he seems serious, rather it's because he seems flat and one dimensional. And if you're saying that Rockstar is doing something different by having a strong female female lead, perhaps look at literally every other franchise video game and you will notice that they are all doing the exact same " different thing" by forcing strong female lead characters on us.
