And that's why Executive agencies and the Office of the Ombudsman continue investigating billion-peso "ghost" projects and contract anomalies. ✅️President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has taken several specific actions regarding flood control anomalies ✅️Ordered the DPWH to audit and publish a public inventory of all flood control projects built since 2022 to spot substandard or "ghost" works. ✅️Revealed that 15 contractors captured nearly ₱100 billion out of ₱545 billion in flood mitigation funds. ✅️Vetoed billions in redundant or uncoordinated local flood control projects from national budget. ✅️Directed the DOJ, COA, and Ombudsman to build criminal cases against corrupt contractors and complicit officials. ✅️Reprioritized funding away from small local dikes toward major river basin infrastructure.
