@holvek: Nuclear fusion is the process where light atomic nuclei combine to form heavier ones, releasing a gargantuan amount of energy. This very reaction is what powers the Sun and all other stars. Deep inside a star, extreme gravity and temperatures of millions of degrees force hydrogen nuclei to overcome their natural repulsion and fuse into helium. The mass of the resulting helium is slightly less than the combined mass of the original particles, and this lost mass is converted into pure radiative energy according to Einstein's formula, E=mc². As massive stars age, their cores heat up even more, triggering the synthesis of progressively heavier elements all the way up to iron. Unlike traditional nuclear power, which relies on splitting heavy uranium atoms (fission), fusion works in reverse, is environmentally friendly, and leaves behind no long-lived radioactive waste. While humanity has harnessed this process for destruction in the form of the hydrogen bomb, building a peaceful, controlled fusion reactor remains one of the greatest scientific challenges in history. Because Earth lacks the immense gravity of a star, scientists must heat plasma to a staggering 100 to 150 million degrees Celsius — ten times hotter than the core of the Sun — and confine it using powerful magnetic fields in specialized machines called tokamaks and stellarators. Смотря Эдит я могу сказать пару вещей: Солнце не может просто потухнуть, она будет гореть до тех пор пока водород и гелий не станут более тяжёлыми элементами (железом, на этом более тяжёлых элементов не появится, железо самое подходящее для существования в таких условиях или тому подобное), а после произойдёт взрыв или сжатие до чёрной дыры, скажу про взрыв, солнце постоянно давит внутрь, и выходит так что более тяжёлой материи нехватает места и она давит изнутри. В итоге водород и гелий на поверхности становится более тяжёлым элементом спускаясь всё глубже к ядру, а после начинаю давить изнутри. Из-за этого чем меньше солнцу остаётся существовать тем больше (не обезатель должно значить что оно больше, потому что ему осталось мало, оно может быть просто перенасыщено водородом и гелием) оно становится (давящая сила уменьшается, а внутренняя увеличивается), и в итоге солнце разрывает внутренняя сила, что мы называем взрывом. И у нас никак не получится запусти солнце с помощью ядерного синтеза, нужен водород или хотя бы гелий.
