@lauren.digitalsales: How did I go from trying to make maternity pay stretch… to having £300+ days from my phone around my girls?! 🥹 If you’d told maternity-leave me this was going to be my reality, I genuinely wouldn’t have believed you 😂 I’m not techy. I’m not business-minded. And I’m definitely not some kind of influencer 😂 I was just a mum on maternity leave watching my maternity pay disappear and knowing eventually I was going to have to leave my baby and go back to work before I felt ready 💔 I’d already been through that heartbreak after my first maternity leave. I didn’t want to do it again. I needed something I could do from home. Something that could take some of the pressure off. And that’s when I came across digital products & Canva 👀 Think things like planners, guides, invitations, templates and courses I learnt that as a complete beginner, I didn’t even have to create everything from scratch. I could start with ready-made digital products while I learnt how everything worked, then gradually start creating my own too. So that’s exactly what I did 🥹 And little did I know that one decision would go on to help me extend my maternity leave, create extra income from home.. And when I did eventually go back to work, I was able to massively reduce my hours so I could still have more time with my girls 🙌 And with Christmas creeping up, I know there will be mums looking at maternity pay right now thinking… How am I supposed to make this cover the basics AND somehow find extra for Christmas?! 😩🎄 Because I remember that feeling SO well.
