London is great if you can afford it, but unfortunately the majority struggle to do so. The threshold is high. Coming fresh to London with a retail job and no family or friends to support/share with would be a tough gig.

People who work don’t have time to stroll around the city and sightsee like tourists. You work, come home, have household chores, prepare meals for the next day, go to sleep—and the cycle repeats.
