I used to work at a doggie daycare and we banned pits after 2 yrs bc they kept injuring us and the other dogs.

I had a pit bull. It was a calm, friendly dog. It got loose one time. The neighbors kids were playing with it. It was never aggressive. It had a stroke and had to be put down though.
