@fisherzhangs_in_china: Age gets VERY confusing here in China. There are different ways of counting it, people traditionally get a year older around Spring Festival, and apparently some people just like to round up for good measure 😂 So I genuinely lose track of how old everyone in my family is sometimes. My wife even insists on telling me I’m older than I actually am—presumably as part of an elaborate attempt to deny the fact that SHE is actually older than me… although, annoyingly, she doesn’t look it at all. But there’s no confusion today. I am officially 40 years old! 🎂 And rather than fight it, I’ve decided to own it and embrace my descent into old age with all the grace, dignity and humility you’d expect from a newly minted 40-year-old man. 😂🤘
