I’m not sure but I got told a story I showed this to my friend this Torana and he said his dad had one. This is in Tasmania. And I was like what really there’s literally none of them. and his like yeah he sold it for 30k and that’s how he bought the house they were in. Now back then 30k was a lot of money for a car so i actually believed him and his story. And his dad was right into cars especially holdens. As to what happened to it after that I don’t know. But interesting story and I always remembered it

The prototype was actually based on LC running gear with some of the upcoming LJ bits. A 186ci and 3 Stromberg CD1 (150cfm) carbs, so the milder engine, not the Mental-Case Bathurst 202ci with the Stromberg CD2 (175cfm) carbs and nutso cam profile. A beautiful thing.

I saw this car when it was introduced to the public at the Brisbane Ekka in 1971 ?. As a young kid I was impressed. 👍

not a big fan of this one but I had an LX two door 30 years ago, bought it cheap, sold it cheap, they were cheap then! 202 with a 350 holley, yella terra etc etc.. 4 speed and did two wheel peels with a banjo! sigh... if only...
