While I am not discrediting your fear, because it sucks as women we have to fear anything but spiders and heights....Im from Rochester and there you cant catch me walking alone downtown. When I come to the city, I love coming alone and I roam this place like its home without fear

I don’t feel that way and i can be super paranoid. Perhaps getting self defense classes might help. Just incase you ever do find yourself in one of those situations. Because yeah nowhere is truly safe safe unfortunately

As in New York City native, I am always on edge and look at shadows in my peripheral at all times, but to be scared it’s transportation to walk in the city outrageous day who loves all friends everywhere yeah act like this is a war zone wherever that we take every time you turn someone’s getting their shot or Rob or worse and that’s not the case that he is so scared in New York City like what is with all these cops people assuming they’re gonna die or get robbed like in the movies .

to live in NYC you have to have your spider senses on at all times. You become very aware of your surroundings, but I lived in the Bronx for many years and still work in NYC even though I live 50 minutes away
