There are not contradictions, but your misleading interpretation.

I am curious Dan….do you still believe in God after knowing the bible the way you do? I am mainly very curious because I love your content and the education of the bible you are providing me… but if I am going to be honest I am now more of an atheist. So if you do in fact still believe I am wondering what brought you to that decision.

I would love a discussion about what's going on in Matt 1:23 where the part about the prophecy of him being named Emmanuel is apparently not fulfilled.

V. On the Lukan side, the text claims that the return on the fortieth day ("καὶ ὡς ἐτέλεσαν πάντα τὰ κατὰ τὸν νόμον κυρίου, ἐπέστρεψαν εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν εἰς πόλιν ἑαυτῶν Ναζαρέτ" - "And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth") excludes the Matthean sequence of events. Here, however, the text imposes a requirement of precision on Luke which the genre rules of ancient narrative do not impose, and which Luke himself does not undertake. The Lukan summary transition is a characteristic structural tool: the author closes the narrated unit and leads the characters to the location of the next scene without stating anything about the intervening period. That this is not a defensive assumption, but a demonstrable authorial procedure in Luke, can be verified in a place where we have an independent control source: in the Acts of the Apostles, Luke summarizes the period following the events in Damascus in such a way that the stay in Arabia - which Paul himself reports in the Epistle to the Galatians (Gal 1:17-18) - is not featured in it at all, even though it involves years. Whoever labels Luke a liar or an incompetent narrator because of the omission in the birth story should say the same there, where the omission is demonstrably a mere summary. The text thus selectively applies a standard which, if applied consistently, would cause its own argument to collapse as well.

wouldn't there have been primary sources to check before writing these gospels? it was less than 100 years.

Why would a contradiction like this and many others happen? Wouldn’t the authors have access to the other’s work?

I dont like the term "contradiction" as it really means it refutes itself. the better term is unresolved conflict. as they are 2 author telling the same story with diffrent perspectives.

Evidently referring to the book written by the prophet Isaiah (Isa 11:1), in which the promised Messiah is referred to as ‘a sprout [Hebrew, neʹtser] out of the roots of Jesse.’ Since Matthew speaks of “prophets” in plural, he may also have been referring to Jeremiah, who wrote about “a righteous sprout” as an offshoot of David (Jer 23:5; 33:15), and to Zechariah, who describes a king-priest “whose name is Sprout” (Zec 3:8; 6:12, 13). The term “Nazarene” became an epithet applied to Jesus and later to his followers.

I have a question, I saw a tiktok video of some guy yelling in a mall about the rapture so it made me look up. Matthew 6:5 - 8 And I noticed that in Matthew 7 there is a word that is rendered as heathens in KJV, pagans in NIV, and gentiles in NRSVUE. I am wondering if you can speak to what the actual word originally was and why it's translated to these different words.

Why would Mary be less disgraced if Joseph divorced her (though they were not married) than if they had stayed mum and stayed together? It doesn’t make sense. Throughout history, men married pregnant women to preserve their honor and dignity.
