Just to clarify, this video was never meant to be racist in any way. I was speaking purely from an artistic perspective. As I'm starting to learn coloring, I naturally find some skin tones more challenging to render than others. That doesn't mean I like them any less. In fact, both my mom's and my dad's sides of the family are Black. My mom herself has dark skin, so why would I dislike the same skin tone as my own family? The same goes for hair textures. I have naturally curly/coily hair, and from an artistic point of view, I personally find it more difficult to draw and render than straight hair. That doesn't mean I don't like it—in fact, I love my hair. It's simply about the technical challenge of drawing and coloring different features, nothing more.
