It would be great if the fleet transitioned to an ebike fleet. They are so much better and replaces a lot more bus and tram journeys across town. I only use the e-bikes now.

personally I think expanding a docked scheme is using a 2010 solution for a 2027 market. dockless shared bike schemes are cheaper, they promote infrastructure than can be used by personal bikes and shared bikes and they don't require capital works to expand. if DCC just started enforcing the requirement to lock dockless bikes to Sheffield stands again, something they used to do and still have in their contacts, then for the price behind this proposed expansion we could cover the whole lea with an abundance of Sheffield stands. on top of that, a single provider only (or better yet actually run by the council), obligated to cover at a minimum the whole DCC area, and preferably a shared service so it's possible to cross county lines on the one bike.
