I would encourage everyone to go watch the video I made that Drew is sub tweeting right here without tagging me for some reason - that’s fine I do it plenty, it’s just odd. But Drew, this is just arguing that when we see the obvious fact (that you provided more evidence for literally in this video) that they do work in tandem that they do act as a unit and that they do share personnel technology and funding - the response to this is not to accept that fact, and work to undermine it but to delude ourselves into denying that truth. This is simply not how political practice works. I can say the IDF and the US military are morally equivalent and evil AND I can say that I would not like to merge the two institution. Both of those are true and helpful statements. You on the other hand denying the reality that they are morally equivalent is not a true nor helpful statement and it is not necessary to reaching our aims, and focusing on the distinctions rather than continuity actually does act as amnesty for the US military. Because the biggest threat the US military poses is not its similarity to the IDF, it is the t*rrorism it was made to do. I say this seriously and respectfully, deluding ourselves from reality is not the same thing as changing reality, and if people take seriously what you’re saying, the Praxis you are advocating is delusion. I advocate we look at reality as it is, and build solidarity based on that - and recognising the unification of the oppression of those under the United States military the IDF and ice helps do that. Denying it helps maintain the American supremacy that distinction was built on.
