I always knew this day would come, and today is that day. When the announcement was released on a random Tuesday, I cried my eyes out, and I think everyone in the fandom felt the same way. Even after 17 years in K-pop and experiencing similar moments with other groups, I was in disbelief. It felt like a nightmare because ENHYPEN was my ultimate group. I loved them more than any other group I had ever stanned, and they were the first ones I invested significant time and money into. I have supported many groups, but never to the extent that I supported ENHYPEN. Being a Heeseung bias made it hurt even more. However, when he announced his solo career, I knew deep down it was his own choice. He was not dictated by anyone; he chose himself and his own path. I defended him fiercely against OT7 fans who were angry and sent him hate. Those of us who truly understood him stood by him because we knew this was something he had wanted for a long time. Based on the announcement, the way he expressed himself, and how he mentioned that ENHYPEN was the first step in Lee Heeseung's career, I always had a feeling he would eventually go solo and I was right. I was able to move on relatively easily, not because I didn't care, but because I realized suffering over something beyond my control was pointless. Both sides stated they would do just fine, and I am holding onto that promise tightly because I trust all of them. Before the announcement, while he was still in the group, he often seemed exhausted, out of spirits, and possessed a noticeably heavy aura to the point where he felt unfamiliar. But after the announcement, seeing clips of his fan calls showed a complete transformation for the better. He was glowing, happy, and radiant, as if a huge weight had been lifted. He chose himself for his personal and professional growth, and there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think it was an incredibly brave decision.
