There are 5 of us exploring an abandoned hospital that closed over 20 years ago. We weren’t planning to stay long. At 11:02 PM, we entered through a broken emergency entrance. Everything inside was silent except for water dripping somewhere in the distance. The first floor was empty. The second floor was worse. Every patient room had its door wide open, except one. Room 217. The door was closed. Someone had written “DO NOT OPEN” across it in faded black paint. Of course, one of us opened it. The room was completely empty. No furniture. No equipment. Just five old metal chairs arranged in a circle. As soon as we stepped back into the hallway, every door on the floor slammed shut at the same time. None of us touched them. Our phones all lost service. Even stranger, the time stopped changing. Every phone read 11:17 PM. No matter how long we waited. We started heading for the exit. That’s when Ben counted us. “One… two… three… four… five…” Then he stopped. “There are six.” We laughed. Then we counted again. Six. We all knew the five people who came in. But there was another person walking with us. No one could agree on who it was. Every time someone tried to look directly at the sixth person, they’d suddenly forget what they were doing. We only noticed them again when we counted. Six. We started filming each other. In every video, there’s someone standing at the back of the group. Tall. Wearing a hospital gown. Face completely hidden. But when we looked behind us… There were only five people. We’ve been trying to leave for over an hour. Every staircase leads back to the same hallway. Every exit opens into another hospital corridor. The only thing that’s changing… Is the counting. The last time we counted… There where seven…..
