This was our Pizza Hut. My family would rent movies and pick up a pizza. Or we’d go to the movies and then dine in. Eating here after seeing Casper is a core memory for me. Later on, it’s where I hung out with friends. This is where we went after seeing David Fincher’s Zodiac and Rob Zombie’s Halloween. I took my girlfriend/future wife here because I considered it a special place. As a kid, I loved the personal pan pizzas. The X-Men promotion was a happy time for me. My stepbrother and I got X-Men VHS tapes and comic books from here. We got a really cool basketball with rad artwork printed on it. Sometimes we ordered Bigfoot pizzas. They tasted awful, even by a kid’s pizza standards, but we still put away as many slices as we could because any pizza was better than no pizza. In reality, this was a corporate business, but in my dumb heart this building is like a lost loved one. They have a pickup only location 3 minutes from here now, but needless to say, it just ain’t the same. Lastly but importantly, my stepdad adored the P’Zone, so I’m including a closeup of a promotion for it in honor of his memory. #nostalgia #nostalgiacore #1990snostalgia #2000snostalgia #ambientmusic
