People love to say “As an adult I agree with Emily” they clearly never watch the show without bias. Emily had layered but she was dead wrong in a lot of ways. She always tried to push her way of what she wanted to see on to her daughter and her granddaughter.

Idk this could totally be just me and that’s fine, but Lorelai and Christopher just never seemed like believable exes to me. I never felt like they were in love and I never felt like they had any real spark or chemistry. The chemistry she had with Luke throughout the show was way more intense than anything they ever depicted with her and Christopher together
