fyi if you do this your Internet becomes absolutely horrible. your headset basically becomes a router and whatever games you run of your PC will run from the wifi going to your headset. so if you use Ethernet and get high mbps, your pc won't use that and will only use the WiFi that can go to your headset, which it's capped around 100mbps. so if you play a game that requires downloads (like loading a vrc world) it will take significantly longer than if you had just played the game without the steam link app.

when i use usb it works but after 15 seconds the usb icon goes grey and uses wifi only and i have to keep reconnecting it but it happens after 15 seconds again

I playing on quest 3+pc vr rtx 5090+9800x3d,96 gb ram all my games very stuttering via oculus meta link and virtual desktop, right now via steamlink+cabel I dont see this problem anymore I can finally enjoy vr without problems Gabe is goat!

Thank you so much! Everytime I played PCVR, I had my VR connected to the meta link app but used steamvr because it's just much much better than meta link app. So I had 2 "OS" at the same time and the performance and feeling were ruined and I couldn't use steam link because it didn't support link cable but I thought of it today, searched it up and came across your video. Hope it gets better overtime but I'll try it now. 😁

It's not only a Problem I noticed, another guy said that too. it works the first 5 seconds and after that the cable icon doesn't glow and on the debug window its still showing but nothing's happening there
