@donmarshall72: Correcting and Explaining The Rings of Power - Elves ##lotr##lordoftherings##television##tv##fantasy

Scroto Baggins :

It feels like they might have been trying to tap into the xenophobia of our current world.

HoodGuard :

“The elves are taking our jobs!” Was certainly a choice 😂

BardOfArda :

Yeah, this is arguably the worst scene in any LOTR adaptation ever 🤣🤣🤣

ClaytonCarmine :

This entire show is an abomination

Mr Bootlicker (I know it fits) :

correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the numanorians grow xenophobic to the elves, especially over their eternal life. maybe this is just one aspect to show that.

michaelangelo.21 :

I was assuming it was intentionally ridiculous 💀 the Numenorians do fall fantastically

Ryan Murphy :

do we really thing the elves need the jobs of men? seems like they have much bigger fish to fry.

Christopher :

'the elf things took your jöööbs"

Haunted Hel :

I get what they were trying to do…but it is the weakest thing the show did

Nuno :

If they don’t have the rights, why the hell did they even tried to make this show?

sara_shu1 :

This scene is clunky, but I think the idea helps build on the guild exclusivity we see elsewhere.

night hag :

I also do try to give this show the benefit of the doubt but grieve what it could have been if they had all the rights

Cheeseburger :

are you on YouTube at all??

Sentry :

Me noticing the saber cause I got distracted by the hilts lol I swear I was listening

Soph :

This scene kind of destroyed the image of Numenor forever in the eyes of new viewers. This apparent shining golden age of humanity is more backwards The Shire and it's so odd

Namependinggaming :

Elves want almost nothing to do with the dealings of men too 😭😭😭

Luke Robertson :

Because despite this show having a gazillion dollar budget they somehow couldn’t get the Simillrion rights.

Beta Virus :

TheRangersGearshop :

Rewatching from the beginning in preparation for the new season, and I’d forgotten some of the…clunkier bits from season 1 like this. Can’t wait to get into season two where they really hit their stride!

composergoat :

So it’s more like a fanfic.

BiggestLargest :

I'm going to start it soon and i love your videos, always great insight into what's going on! i also wanted to share, i just finished the two towers in my first ever LOTR read!

Viral Optimist :

Those dadgum knife ears tuk ar jerbs!

Filip :

"they live longer and are stronger!!" "so are we, compared to most humans..?" "shut up!!" "but it's true.."

Pup Greyson :

“The elves are taking your jobs!” Me: “…are the elves on the island with us right now??”
