What's your motivation behind working on your pronunciation? As a pronunciation teacher, this sits at the core of everything I do. While accent reduction vs. clear pronunciation is a bigger, nuanced topic (which I talk about more in-depth in my recent YouTube video), this is a question I want to bring to you today: What's your reason behind working on your pronunciation? If the need is to eliminate the element of being a non-native speaker, it's time to take a hard look at why and where this thought comes from. While I believe it's important to aim for clear and predictable pronunciation, I don't think it's necessary to sound like a native speaker, and could even be detrimental to your journey.
