PUNISHER>DEADPOOL The idea is taken from @yosef_goldberg17 Born Francis Castiglione in Queens, New York, Frank Castle was raised in an Italian-American family. Early in his life, Castle intended to enter the Catholic priesthood, but he soon realized he could not forgive those who committed evil, leading him to abandon his vows and enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Frank proved to be an exceptional soldier, undergoing grueling training with the U.S. Navy SEALs, U.S. Army Rangers, and the Australian Special Air Service Regiment. Rising to the rank of Captain, Castle served multiple tours during the Vietnam War (later retconned in modern Marvel continuity to the fictional conflict of Siancong to align with a sliding timeline). Throughout his military career, he distinguished himself as a master strategist, sniper, and close-combat expert, receiving numerous commendations including the Medal of Honor, the Navy Cross, and multiple Purple Hearts. During his service, he met and married his beloved wife, Maria, with whom he had two children: Lisa and Frank Jr. 2. THE CATALYST: THE CENTRAL PARK MASSACRE Upon returning home, Castle retired from active service to live a quiet life with his family. However, this peace was shattered during a family picnic in Central Park. The Castles accidentally witnessed a gangland execution carried out by the Costa crime family. To eliminate any witnesses, the mobsters opened fire on the innocent family. Maria, Lisa, and Frank Jr. were killed instantly. Frank survived the attack, though he was critically injured. Despite Frank identifying the killers, corrupt NYPD officers and mob-influenced officials ensured that no charges were pressed against the Costa family. Realizing that the legal justice system was fundamentally broken, Castle was consumed by grief and fury. He renounced his old life and swore a solemn oath to spend the remainder of his days waging a lethal war against all criminals. Adopting a skull emblem on his chest as a stark warning to evil, he became The Punisher. 3. THE ONE-MAN WAR ON CRIME Unlike most vigilantes who aim to apprehend criminals for trial, the Punisher operates under a ruthless code: absolute termination. Armed with an extensive arsenal of military-grade weaponry, advanced tactics, and unmatched discipline, Castle systematically targeted organized crime syndicates, drug cartels, human traffickers, and corrupt politicians. His early crusade brought him into conflict with street-level criminals as well as higher-profile crime lords, most notably Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime.
