Just because a husband is upset doesn’t automatically mean his wife is sinful or that her prayers and fasting won’t be accepted. There has to be a legitimate, Islamically valid reason for his anger, and we cannot make every personal disagreement into “disobedience.” A wife is required to fulfil her husband’s rights, just as a husband is required to fulfil his wife’s rights and treat her with justice and kindness. Her worship is ultimately for Allah, not for her husband. These matters need to be explained with proper balance and context, rather than making a woman feel that Allah will reject her worship simply because her husband is unhappy with her.
