My periods got worse after my ectopic pregnancy. The only thing that helped me was 800 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours. It was only the first two days of my period that had me in almost tears.

Call your OB of course, but surgery from the ectopic may have left scar tissue that become painful when the uterus and surrounding pelvic structures contract… take ibuprofen

Mine were so bad that one of the OBGYN’s I worked with recommended 800 mg of ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours. Just for the most intense part of my cycle. It actually helped a lot. Decreased bleeding and cramps.
