If you run a business, something you automated last year is still doing the same thing today. That is the gap agentic AI closes. I explained this on The Cave podcast, and it comes down to one distinction most people get wrong. A schedule and a loop are not the same thing. A schedule is: at 10am every day, do this. It runs. It never changes. It will run the same way in a year. A loop is different. What is agentic AI actually doing in a loop? Step 1. It runs at a set time, same as a schedule would. Step 2. The next day at 10am it comes back and looks at what happened in the previous 24 hours. Step 3. Based on what it finds, it trains itself again. Step 4. It changes what it does next. Step 5. It repeats, and every pass starts from a better position than the last one. So it goes in a loop, but it gets better over time. That is the whole idea. Here is the version you can picture. Take ads. Agentic AI monitors your ads. It looks at the last 7 days. Then it swaps out the ad copy, or it makes a few more visuals, and it fixes itself. In a loop. To make your ads perform better. Nobody sat down and did that. It happened because the loop was built to come back. Most AI automation people set up is a schedule wearing a costume. It fires on time and it learns nothing. The difference between that and real agentic AI is whether anything reviews the output and changes the next run. I've been using AI tools since 2018 and I hosted an AI TV series on DSTV across Africa. I build these systems! #agenticai #aiautomation #aiforbusiness #aiagents
